Share your Story

BristolThreads values unity and diversity. To better represent the city as a whole we want to work with all people of good will.

We want to tell hopeful positive stories of people and communities. Stories that bring life and speak of a better shared Bristol future. Stories that warm the heart and where people and relationships are at the centre.

Through the stories/news we share - we want to

  • Discover Commonality - that we have more in common than apart

  • Encourage Community - realise that our shared experiences give us shared stories

  • Grow a sense of Unity - our City’s future is a shared one, so we want to celebrate stories that help build it

Criteria & top tips for sharing your story with us

  • Keep it short and simple. There is a 1800 character limit (for social media) but some times we shorten articles and stories as we want to keep things brief for a mobile-first approach. We will always include a link the original article where applicable.

  • Celebrate People & Partnerships. Not promotions or just ‘posts’. We don’t just share press releases. We want to celebrate how people are building and repairing the social fabric of our city. So celebrate, tell stories, and inspire us all!

  • Use People-centred images only. Pictures speak a thousand words. We only use people centred imagery as it reinforces that we are all part of the city and part of each other’s futures.

BristolThreads commits to sharing only positive news. We will not publish content that is hateful, prejudiced, takes people down or derogatory in any way. We celebrate a City diversity and all the things that makes Bristol unique and amazing. We also choose to have no particular political affiliation, religious perspective or advertising on the site.
