Bristol mayor Marvin Rees won a special recognition award at this year’s Bristol Diversity Awards alongside the five people offered corrective cautions for pulling down the statue of Edward Colston and throwing it in the harbour.

Rees and the Colton Five were among almost 30 recipients of the awards given out by Hart and Sherrie Eugene-Hart in a virtual ceremony.
