OneUp Coworking, a new coworking and event space in Bristol City Centre, has partnered up with the charity to offer young entrepreneurs a chance to improve their business skills.

They’ve been working together for a couple of months to organise an ongoing series of skill-building ‘tutorials’ as they’ll be called. The tutorials will serve to teach young professionals how to market, grow and manage their business.

With Bristol ranking as the UK’s 5th best city to start a business in 2019, it’s never been a better time to encourage young people from varied backgrounds to pursue their dreams.

OneUp’s ethic comes from their namesake, as they offer everything small businesses need to ‘one-up’, with support, creative studio facilities and a strong community ethic. They’ve already partnered with other local businesses to offer discount perks and champion independent eateries and cafes around Park Street, including Pizza Rova and Bowl of Plenty (Folk House).

The Prince’s Trust works with young people from 11 - 30 years old offering a range of support and advice. Their schemes have helped young people find the confidence to do what they want to do, whether that’s finding a job, or starting their own company.

OneUp will be hosting the tutorials at their offices opposite College Green and will be available to both Prince’s Trust’s young professionals and their own members.

South West professionals from a range of industries will be speaking at the events, with a chance for the Prince’s Trust entrepreneurs to give a class too. If they’re feeling up to the challenge!

One of the OneUp hosts, Karolina, says ‘We want the focus of the tutorial topics to be around creativity, so they’ll be a bit different to any others hosted around Bristol.”

The tutorials will be starting in early 2020. If you’re interested in getting involved, need some support for your small business, or you’re a young professional trying to start your own business, OneUp (karolina@wearedomo.com)
