Southmead Development Trust are a charity made up of staff, volunteers and residents who work together to keep power in the Southmead community. They work with partners to improve health, wellbeing, local pride, and employment. They connect residents and groups to target social isolation. And they bring business and investment to the area.
“Our vision is a thriving and healthy community. Guided by residents we provide the support, spaces and services our community needs. Our sites – Greenway Centre and Southmead Adventure Playground, are well-loved local venues and host popular community events throughout the year.”

More than 3000 adults have received 1:1 support for their mental and physical wellbeing or employment
They’ve worked alongside the community on a redesign for an ambitious community-led housing scheme
They’ve discovered that for every £1 we invest we generate £50 in social value
