A new zero waste café is going to open on Gloucester Road, serving up brunches, sandwiches and snacks.

The new cafe, called Eat Me, is being set up by May Colquhoun and Rosy Allan, who run Plastic Free Catering Company. They will open the cafe inside the Alchemy Bar, which is owned by Sarah Thorp, on October 28.

The café will serve vegetarian brunches, lunches and snacks including their tongue and cheek platters ‘the Montpelier’, ‘the St Andrews’ and signature breakfast dish - ‘The Bishopston Green’.

Ms Colquhoun said: “We are from Bristol so we decided to name some of our dishes after different communities around the city - it’s quite cheeky but it’s great."

Having started their catering with a conscience concept a year ago, the Bristol-born cousins are keen reduce plastic waste in the catering industry while offering delicious homemade food to the Bristol community.
