Freedom Kids Podcast: Made for Children by Children
The Freedom Kids Podcast is made by children aged 5 to 13 who play at Felix Road Adventure Playground in Easton.
“It’s all about questions that matter to us. How we see feel, think and dream of our world.”
“Freedom [Kids Podcast] because everyone is free to do what they want and be themselves. It’s inclusive without any limits to it, it’s free. Everyone needs to speak up and be free.”
By asking each other questions and posing answers they give the listener a window into how children think, feel, see, and dream their world. The hope is that the children feel able to share their thoughts and express themselves. It gives power to the voices of children and offers another avenue though which the children can play, have fun and let their imaginations go wild!
It is also a reminder for us grown-ups to question how we see things, see the world through fresh eyes and be playful.
Made for children by children, in each five minute episode the children explore a different topic. Series two is all about climate change and episodes cover; climate change, air quality, waste and recycling, food, energy, and the animal kingdom.
Series two of the podcast has just come to an end. However, don’t despair we are pleased to say we have secured funding for a third series of this unique podcast that gives children a voice and allows them to express themselves and explore subjects that matter to them.
