Amazing pub landlords give 100s free meals to children
The amazing offer from David Yeomans and Luke Skinner has prompted a wave of appreciation from across Keynsham and Bristol since he invited parents to come in and feed their children for free earlier this week.
Mr Yeomans said some parents have been left close to tears when visiting the pub, the Crown Inn at Keynsham, and the impromptu scheme is growing, with a children’s party being thrown on Friday to encourage more families to come in.
Mr Yeomans said he wanted to do something about the phenomenon of ‘holiday hunger’, which sees families who might normally receive free school meals struggling to put food on the table during the long five or six-week summer holiday.
